In principle, whether it is a ball mill, nano sand mill, or a mixer, the grinding medium is used to impart sufficient kinetic energy to the dispersed blades under the high-speed rolling action, causing the collision and compression between the grinding medium and the grinding material to generate shear force, playing a grinding role. Nano sand mills have different classification methods, mainly divided into vertical nano sand mills and horizontal nano sand mills according to the layout of the grinding cylinder.

The horizontal nano sand mill is a continuously produced ultrafine particle grinding and dispersing machine with a horizontal cylinder. It mainly consists of the machine base, spindle components, grinding device, cooling device, control system, auxiliary devices, etc.
working principle
The solid-liquid mixture processed by the previous generation for dispersion and wetting is fed into the cylinder through a metering pump from the upper feed pipe of the horizontal nano sand mill. The electric motor drives the disperser on the main shaft to rotate and generate kinetic energy. The material and the grinding medium inside the cylinder are stirred by the high-speed rotating disperser, causing strong collisions, friction, and shear effects between the solid particles in the material and the grinding medium, The material particles between the media undergo force deformation and generate a stress field. When the stress reaches the yield or fracture limit of particles, plastic deformation or fragmentation occurs. The particles that have not been crushed and destroyed are thrown towards the wall of the nano sand mill by centrifugal force. The density of the grinding medium in this area is high, thereby strengthening the crushing and destruction effect. The small particles that have been crushed and destroyed are separated from the grinding medium by a separator and then flow out of the discharge pipe.

The structure of a vertical nano sand mill mainly consists of a feeding system, a grinding cylinder, a grinding disc, a transmission system, and an electric control system.
working principle
During work, most of the grinding cylinder is filled with grinding media, which are spherical particles of varying sizes made of ceramics or special materials. The material is added from the bottom of the vertical silo and mixed with the grinding medium. The mixing shaft is driven by the transmission system to stir the mixture of materials and media at an appropriate speed. Because of the friction and collision between the grinding media, the materials are ground. After a certain residence time, the slurry with the required particle size distribution is obtained.
