Everyone is familiar with sand mills, their task is to grind. An excellent sand grinder needs to have the advantages of high grinding efficiency, stable equipment performance, and high product quality.
To ensure these advantages, it is necessary to put forward requirements for its accessories:
1、 Has wear-resistant performance, which means low wear rate during grinding and will not cause serious pollution to the grinding product;
2、 The hardness is large enough to ensure efficient grinding.
There are currently ceramic components available to meet these two important needs.
Among ceramic components, zirconia is currently widely applicable and is also a mature ceramic accessory used in sand mills. Among the four major diamond materials with mature processes, zirconia, alumina, silicon carbide, and silicon nitride, zirconia has excellent toughness. In high-speed rotating sand mills, its advantage as a rotor is more obvious. Due to the high-speed rotation process, the contact grinding process between the rotor and the material can easily lead to cracks in the ceramic parts, which can lead to fracture over time. Only zirconia ceramics can meet the toughness requirements of this special usage condition.
In addition, no matter what material the rotor is made of, it will produce impurities after grinding. However, ceramic parts, due to their excellent wear resistance, have a very low content of impurities compared to traditional steel and polyurethane. Meanwhile, due to the impurities generated being zirconia, which is consistent with the material of zirconia beads, the impact on the quality of the product is minimal.
