1. Horizontal sand grinder
The horizontal sander is the color paste grinding machine commonly used by many paint factories to grind color paste at present. The grinding media include glass bead, zirconia beads and pure zirconia beads. Because the specific gravity and hardness of the three kinds of beads are different (glass bead<zirconia beads<pure zirconia beads), adding pure zirconia beads in the sand mill will shorten the slurry grinding time and improve the production efficiency, but the pure zirconia beads have a large hardness and a large specific gravity will hurt the machine. This requires the grinding machine components to have high wear resistance, and these contact parts are made of horizontal sand mills made of alloy steel materials, which are expensive in the tens of thousands.
Note: When grinding oily color paste, the temperature of the horizontal grinder is prone to increase, and it is necessary to increase the condensate flow rate appropriately to regulate the temperature
2. Vertical sand grinder
Used for grinding color paste with less strict requirements or easily dispersed titanium dioxide paste, which is easy to clean and has lower equipment prices.
When used for pigments that are not easily ground, such as organic pigments, iron yellow, and iron red, the production efficiency is relatively low.
3. Basket sander
The basket type sand grinder integrates grinding and dispersion, and is particularly suitable for closed continuous production in complete production lines, with high production efficiency.
