There are four main grinding processes for sand mills.

They are: continuous grinding process, series grinding process, combined cycle grinding process, and single barrel cycle grinding process.

1. The premise of the single barrel cyclic grinding process is that the number of cycles is greater than 5, and a mixer is equipped on the cyclic barrel to ensure full mixing of materials and avoid dead corners in the cyclic barrel. This process has simple operation and low equipment investment, and is generally used for grinding ceramic raw materials such as silicon carbide, silicon nitride, boron carbide, etc

2. The combined cycle grinding process is a combination of continuous grinding and cyclic grinding. The first time was low flow grinding, with the aim of crushing coarse particles. From the second pass, the product is grinded circularly with narrow particle size distribution. This grinding method is generally used for the production and grinding of automotive topcoats.

3. Tandem grinding belongs to continuous grinding. It is mainly suitable for products with high requirements for fineness. For example, offset printing ink, chemical fiber matting agent, calcium carbonate, and so on.

4. The single machine continuous grinding process is mainly used for products with low requirements for fineness. For example, metallic minerals, non-metallic minerals, automotive primers, and so on.
