The Development History of Sand Mills

Sand mills are developed on the basis of ball mills, and many domestic users still refer to them as ball mills! In foreign countries, it is called a stirring ball mill (a combination of stirring shaft and ball mill). What are the essential differences between ball mills, stirring mills, and sand mills! From the perspective of crushing principle, the common feature of the three is the use of principles such as collision, compression, and friction between grinding media to crush materials. *Ball mills are not the same as sand mills in terms of grinding principles, grinding fineness, and application fields. After all, the vertical stirring mill has an independent energy importer without the help of the earth's gravity, which can be regarded as a technological revolution of grinding equipment!

*The stirred mill has low grinding efficiency and wide product particle size distribution due to its low rotating speed, large medium size and large change of radial velocity gradient along the pin bar. Therefore, stirring mills are gradually being squeezed out of the market by sand mills and are now only used for grinding hard alloys, ferrite or pre grinding.

*The sand grinder can be divided into vertical and horizontal types depending on the installation form, and can be divided into disc type, rod type, and convex block type according to the grinding element type.
