Sand mills, also known as bead mills, are mainly used for wet grinding of chemical liquid products. According to their performance, they can be roughly divided into horizontal sand mills, basket sand mills, vertical sand mills, etc. It mainly consists of the machine body, grinding cylinder, grinding disc (lever), grinding medium, motor, and feeding pump, and the speed of feeding is controlled by the feeding pump. The grinding medium of the equipment is generally divided into zirconia beads, glass bead, zirconium silicate beads, etc. But in the minds of many people, ceramic grinding machines are usually classified into one category. So, what is the difference between ceramic grinding machines and general grinding machines?

Ceramic sand grinding machines are made of a variety of materials. During the grinding process, the materials are not expected to be contaminated by metals. Therefore, the grinding cylinder, grinding disc (lever), and grinding medium used in the grinding process should be made of ceramic material instead of metal. Because during the grinding process, it is inevitable that there will be a slight wear on the grinding cylinder, sand grinding disc (lever), and grinding medium, causing them to mix in the grinding material.

The sand mill uses a material pump to mix the pre dispersed and wet treated material with liquid material, causing the material and the grinding medium in the material barrel to be stirred by a high-speed rotating disperser, resulting in stronger collision, friction, and shear effects between the solid particles in the material and the grinding medium, achieving the goal of accelerating the grinding of fine particles and dispersed aggregates. After the abrasive is dispersed, it is separated by a dynamic separator and flows out through the discharge pipe. The horizontal sanding machine is particularly suitable for products with dispersed sanding, high viscosity, and fine particle size requirements.

In the past, the grinding machine was mainly made of wear-resistant steel and glass bead, but now the grinding machine can be made of tungsten carbide, silicon carbide, polyurethane, zirconia, etc. The materials commonly used in ceramic sand grinding machines are tungsten carbide, silicon carbide, polyurethane, zirconia, etc. These materials have no metallic luster and look like ceramic materials, so they are called ceramic sand grinding machines. There are also sand grinding machines used for grinding ceramic ink and ceramic materials.
